THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR A PORTION OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE HAS BEEN
CANCELLED. RAINFALL HAS DIMINISHED OVER COUNTIES BETWEEN THE
CUMBERLAND PLATEAU AND INTERSTATE 65.

MORNING...

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* A PORTION OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
  AREAS...CANNON...CLAY...COFFEE...CUMBERLAND...DEKALB...
  FENTRESS...GRUNDY...JACKSON...OVERTON...PICKETT...PUTNAM...VAN
  BUREN...WARREN AND WHITE.

* THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING

* THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION FAY ARE CONTINUING TO BRING
  SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL TO THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU. ADDITIONAL
  RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE OVER THE
  CUMBERLAND PLATEAU. OVERNIGHT RAINFALL REPORTS IN THIS AREA
  RANGE FROM 1 INCH TO 3.4 INCHES. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINS...
  MAINLY TODAY AND POSSIBLY TONIGHT... WILL PRODUCE RAPID RUN
  OFF...AND INCREASE THE POSSIBILITY FOR FLASH FLOODING IN THE
  WATCH AREA.

* SOME STREAMS AND CREEKS MAY RISE TO NEAR OR ABOVE BANKFULL
  TODAY. LOW AREAS AND URBAN AREAS WILL BE MOST LIKELY TO FLOOD.
  MOST FLASH FLOODING WILL BE CAUSED BY THUNDERSTORMS THAT
  CONCENTRATE RAINFALL IN RELATIVELY SMALL AREAS...ESPECIALLY IN
  STEEP TERRAIN AND URBAN AREAS.

 THE LOW PRESSURE CENTER WAS LOCATED NEAR HUNTSVILLE THIS MORNING
 AND IS FORECAST TO MOVE NORTHEASTWARD...ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE...
 TONIGHT. HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BEGIN TO TAPER OFF TONIGHT.
