AREAS AFFECTED...NORTHERN MS/NORTHERN AL AND MIDDLE TN INTO EASTERN
KY

CONCERNING...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 161...

VALID 041016Z - 041145Z

THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 161
CONTINUES.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 161 CONTINUES UNTIL 16Z FOR PORTIONS OF
NORTHERN MS/NORTHERN AL AND MIDDLE TN...WITH A CONTINUED RISK FOR
ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS/HAIL. AN ISOLATED SEVERE THREAT WILL
EXIST AS FAR NORTHEAST AS EASTERN KY...WITH HEAVY RAINFALL LIKELY AS
WELL.

WELL ORGANIZED STRONG/OCCASIONALLY SEVERE LINEAR MCS CONTINUES TO
QUICKLY ADVANCE EASTWARD ACROSS EASTERN KY/MIDDLE TN/NORTHERN MS AS
OF 1015Z. ALTHOUGH INSTABILITY WANES/INHIBITION INCREASES WITH
NORTHEAST EXTENT ACROSS MIDDLE TN/EASTERN KY EAST OF A WARM
FRONT...THE QUICK MOVEMENT OF THE LINE AND STRONG WIND FIELDS IN THE
LOW/MID TROPOSPHERE WILL FAVOR SOME RISK FOR DAMAGING WIND GUSTS
THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. THIS WOULD ESPECIALLY BE THE CASE
WITH ANY DISTINCT BOWING SEGMENTS. THE OKOLONA MS PROFILER AND
WSR-88D VWP FROM NASHVILLE BOTH FEATURE 50 KT AT 1 KM OR BELOW.
