THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES ARE IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT INTO THURSDAY
FOR MUCH OF THE MID STATE. THE NORTH PLATEAU HAS A WINTER STORM
WARNING IN EFFECT. LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA LATE
TONIGHT...POSSIBLY MIXED WITH SLEET ACROSS THE SOUTH. ACCUMULATION
OF AROUND 1 INCH ARE EXPECTED. TRAVEL PROBLEMS WILL DEVELOP
OVERNIGHT ACROSS THE REGION.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO CHANGE OVER TO RAIN ACROSS THE SOUTH THURSDAY
MORNING. ACROSS THE NORTH...SNOW AND SLEET WILL GRADUALLY MIX WITH
OR CHANGE TO ALL RAIN IN THE AFTERNOON. ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION IS
POSSIBLE THURSDAY...MAINLY ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 40. HIGHER
ELEVATIONS OF THE PLATEAU COULD SEE AS MUCH AS 4 INCHES OF SNOW.

SNOW SHOWERS ARE ALSO EXPECTED THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY BUT WITH
ONLY MINOR ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION.

VERY COLD CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED THIS WEEKEND THROUGH AT LEAST NEXT
TUESDAY.

SPOTTERS SHOULD REPORT SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS TO
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.
