...PRELIMINARY REPORT FROM DAMAGE SURVEY IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS COMPLETED A
SURVEY OF DAMAGE THAT OCCURRED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY ON THURSDAY...
APRIL 26. THE DAMAGE WAS CAUSED BY A TORNADO THAT BEGAN NEAR DODSON
ROAD ABOUT 350 PM CDT. THIS IS 10.7 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF
CROSSVILLE. THE TORNADO MOVED NORTHEAST...AND ENDED 10 MILES NORTH
NORTHWEST OF CROSSVILLE...JUST EAST OF PLATEAU ROAD.

TREES WERE SNAPPED AND UPROOTED ALONG THIS PATH. ON TANNER ROAD...A
MOBILE HOME HAD ROOF DAMAGE. THE ENHANCED F SCALE RATING FOR
THIS TORNADO WAS EF-0 WITH WINDS UP TO 85 MPH.
