THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

       EASTERN ARKANSAS
       THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL
       NORTHERN MISSISSIPPI
       WEST TENNESSEE

EFFECTIVE THIS FRIDAY MORNING FROM 440 AM UNTIL NOON CDT.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 0.5 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70 STATUTE
MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 25 MILES NORTH OF WALNUT RIDGE
ARKANSAS TO 25 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF OXFORD MISSISSIPPI.  FOR

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR
TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

OTHER WATCH INFORMATION...THIS TORNADO WATCH REPLACES TORNADO
WATCH NUMBER 784. WATCH NUMBER 784 WILL NOT BE IN EFFECT AFTER
440 AM CDT.

DISCUSSION...ISOLATED SLIGHTLY ELEVATED STORMS/SUPERCELLS EXPECTED
TO PERSIST IN WARM/MOISTURE ADVECTION ZONE BEING GLANCED BY
SHORTWAVE TROUGH ROTATING AROUND SE SIDE OF NEB/SD UPR LOW.  GIVEN
OBSERVED WIND PROFILES IN WW AREA...AND POSSIBILITY THAT ACTIVITY
MAY BECOME A BIT MORE SURFACE-BASED AS LOW LEVEL AIR MASS RECOVERS
NWD THROUGH THE MS DELTA REGION/W TN...THREAT MAY DEVELOP FOR
ISOLATED TORNADOES.

AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 0.5 INCH. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE
WIND GUSTS TO 60 KNOTS. A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO
