...WHAT HAPPENED ON NOVEMBER 7...1996?

THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER MADE REFERENCE IN THE DAY TWO
DISCUSSION ABOUT THE WEATHER PREDICTED FOR THURSDAY NOVEMBER 30 MAY
BE SIMILAR TO A WEATHER EVENT THAT OCCURRED ON NOVEMBER 7 AND 8...
1996.

OUR WEATHER RECORDS SHOW THAT ON NOVEMBER 7...1996 THERE WERE A
TOTAL OF 6 TORNADOES IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE. TWO F0 TORNADOES
OCCURRED IN WEST TENNESSEE IN MADISON AND CHESTER COUNTIES...AND FOUR
TORNADOES WERE REPORTED IN FRANKLIN COUNTY....SPECIFICALLY THREE F1
TORNADOES AND ONE F2 TORNADO. THE F2 TORNADO STRUCK ABOUT 2 MILES
WEST OF HUNTLAND AND DID ONE HALF MILLION DOLLARS WORTH OF DAMAGE.
ONE PERSON WAS INJURED IN A MOBILE HOME.

THERE WERE 22 SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS EVENTS OVER WEST AND
MIDDLE TENNESSEE. NO HAIL EVENTS WERE REPORTED.

EAST TENNESSEE WAS SPARED OF ANY SEVERE WEATHER ACTIVITY THAT DAY.
