THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

       EASTERN ARKANSAS
       SOUTHERN ILLINOIS
       WESTERN KENTUCKY
       SOUTHEAST MISSOURI
       NORTHERN MISSISSIPPI
       WESTERN TENNESSEE

EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING FROM 1055 PM UNTIL
600 AM CST.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS
TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 80 STATUTE MILES
EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 50 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF OWENSBORO
KENTUCKY TO 45 MILES SOUTHWEST OF OXFORD MISSISSIPPI.  FOR A

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR

DISCUSSION...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE INCREASING ALONG THE MS
RIVER FROM WESTERN KY INTO EASTERN AR. THIS ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO
INTENSIFY OVERNIGHT AND SPREAD EASTWARD ACROSS THE WATCH AREA.
DESPITE WEAK INSTABILITY VALUES...STRONG WIND FIELDS AND APPROACHING
UPPER TROUGH WILL PROMOTE A RISK OF SUPERCELLS CAPABLE OF LARGE HAIL
AND ISOLATED TORNADOES.

AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 2 INCHES. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND
GUSTS TO 60 KNOTS. A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO 450.
