...DRY BREEZY CONDITIONS EXPECTED OVER THE MIDSTATE TODAY...
THE STRONG ARCTIC HIGH PRESSURE AREA THAT SETTLED OVER THE MIDSTATE
ON SUNDAY...HAS BEGUN TO MODIFY AND MOVE SLOWLY EASTWARD...AS
WINDS INCREASE FROM THE SOUTH. MID MORNING HUMIDITIES ACROSS
THE STATE RANGED FROM 26 TO 33 PERCENT. BREEZY SOUTH WINDS WILL
INCREASE DEWPOINT LEVELS. HOWEVER...WE EXPECT A SIGNIFICANT
WARMUP TODAY WITH TEMPERATURES MOVING INTO THE UPPER 50S IN MANY
AREAS. THE NET EFFECT WILL CAUSE RELATIVE HUMIDITIES TO REMAIN IN
THE MID 20S DURING THE DAY.

THE COMBINATION OF INCREASING SOUTH WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES
PRESENTS AN ELEVATED FIRE DANGER FOR THE AREA. RESIDENTS MUST BE VERY
CAUTIOUS ABOUT ANY ATTEMPTED BURNING...AND SHOULD ALWAYS BE AWARE OF
LOCAL BURN REGULATIONS OR RESTRICTIONS.
