TONIGHT...PULLING COLDER AIR SOUTHWARD ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE. BY
LATE TONIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR OVER ALL AREAS...WITH
FREEZING TEMPERATURES EXPECTED OVER ALL BUT THE EXTREME SOUTHERN
AREAS BY SUNRISE. PLACES THAT RECEIVED MOSTLY RAIN BEFORE MIDNIGHT WILL
SEE THE PRECIPITATION CHANGE OVER TO ALL SNOW AS THE NIGHT WEARS
ON AND THE TEMPERATURES FALL.

ONE TO TWO INCHES OF SNOW WAS REPORTED ON THE GROUND EARLIER
TONIGHT ALONG THE HIGHLAND RIM...NORTH OF NASHVILLE...AND IN
THE CLARKSVILLE AREA. AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES OF SNOW
WILL LIKELY FALL IN THOSE AREAS BY SUNRISE...WITH STORM TOTAL
ACCUMULATIONS BETWEEN TWO AND FOUR INCHES.

PLACES THAT SAW MOSTLY RAIN DURING THE EVENING...WILL SEE THE
PRECIPITATION CHANGE TO ALL SNOW AFTER MIDNIGHT...WITH ACCUMULATIONS
OF THREE TO FIVE INCHES EXPECTED IN AREAS BETWEEN NASHVILLE AND THE
CUMBERLAND PLATEAU...AND TWO TO FOUR INCHES OVER SOUTHERN AREAS
...NEAR THE ALABAMA BORDER...BY SUNRISE. SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE
ON SATURDAY...WITH ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL UP TO 1 INCH POSSIBLE.
