THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  VAN BUREN COUNTY IN TENNESSEE
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF SPENCER

* UNTIL 845 PM CDT

* AT 754 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  BAND OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DESTRUCTIVE WINDS
  IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH.  THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE
  EXTENDING FROM 6 MILES NORTHWEST OF SPENCER TO 18 MILES SOUTHWEST
  OF SPENCER...OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 6 MILES NORTHWEST OF
  SPENCER TO 13 MILES SOUTHEAST OF MCMINNVILLE...AND MOVING EAST AT
  35 MPH.

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE NEAR...
  SPENCER BY 805 PM CDT

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. IF A TORNADO
IS SPOTTED... ACT QUICKLY AND MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IN A STURDY
STRUCTURE...SUCH AS A BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR ROOM.
