...STORM SURVEY OF DAMAGE IN ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE IN THE CITY
OF GREENBRIER...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IN NASHVILLE TENNESSEE CONDUCTED
A STORM SURVEY OF DAMAGE IN THE CITY OF GREENBRIER. IT APPEARS THE
DAMAGE WAS DUE TO STRAIGHT LINE WINDS WITH GUSTS UP TO 70 MPH. THE
THUNDERSTORMS STRUCK GREENBRIER AROUND 910 PM CDT SUNDAY APRIL 2.

A NUMBER OF LARGE TREES WERE UPROOTED OR BLOWN DOWN IN GREENBRIER.
SOME OF THESE TREES LANDED ON HOMES AND MOBIL HOMES. SHINGLE DAMAGE
TO ROOFS WERE OBSERVED ON SOME HOMES.

THE BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FIELD AT GREENBRIER HIGH SCHOOL SUSTAINED
DAMAGE. THE CINDER BLOCKS FROM TWO SOFTBALL DUGOUTS WERE BLOWN OUT.
A LARGE SIGN WAS BLOWN DOWN AS WELL. THERE WAS NO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE
TO THE HIGH SCHOOL ITSELF.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WOULD LIKE TO THANK MAYOR BILLY WILSON
FOR HIS ASSISTANCE.
