...THE GROWING SEASON FOR THIS YEAR ENDED SATURDAY MORNING...

EARLY SATURDAY MORNING...TEMPERATURES BOTTOMED OUT IN THE 20S AT A
NUMBER OF LOCATIONS ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE. THE COLDEST REPORTING
LOCATION WAS SMITHVILLE IN DEKALB COUNTY...WITH A LOW OF 22
DEGREES. EVEN THE NASHVILLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT REPORTED A BELOW
FREEZING TEMPERATURE...WITH A LOW OF 30.

BECAUSE A KILLING FREEZE HAS OCCURRED ACROSS THE MID STATE...FREEZE
WARNINGS WILL NO LONGER BE NEEDED UNTIL NEXT SPRING.

THE ONE EXCEPTION TO THIS WILL BE IF WE EXPERIENCE AN UNUSUALLY
LONG WARM SPELL. IN THIS CASE...FREEZE WARNINGS MAY AGAIN BE
NEEDED.
