THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MAINLY FROM
ABOUT MID AFTERNOON INTO THE EARLY TO MID EVENING HOURS TONIGHT
...WITH A MODERATE RISK OVER OUR SOUTHWEST COUNTIES. THE POSSIBILITY
OF A FEW TORNADOES CANNOT BE RULED OUT.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER OKLAHOMA EARLY THIS MORNING IS FORECAST
TO MOVE SLOWLY EAST ACROSS ARKANSAS TODAY...AND THEN MOVE
NORTHEAST ACROSS WEST TENNESSEE AND REACHING CENTRAL KENTUCKY BY LATE
TONIGHT. AT THE SAME TIME A WARM FRONT WILL MOVE NORTH FROM THE DEEP
SOUTH AND INTO PORTIONS OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE BY EVENING.

THE AIR MASS WILL BECOME INCREASINGLY UNSTABLE DURING THE DAY TODAY
AND INTO THE EARLY EVENING HOURS DUE TO NORMAL DAYTIME HEATING...
SLIGHT COOLING OF TEMPERATURES ALOFT...INCREASING MOISTURE...AND THE
GRADUAL APPROACH OF THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM FROM THE WEST.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BECOME MORE NUMEROUS AS THE DAY
PROGRESSES. A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS...SOME SEVERE...WILL LIKELY
MOVE EAST FROM ARKANSAS AND INTO THE WEST PARTS OF THE MID STATE BY
LATE AFTERNOON...THEN CONTINUE MOVING EAST ACROSS THE REST OF THE MID
STATE DURING THE EARLY TO MID EVENING HOURS.

THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL...BUT
A FEW TORNADOES MAY ALSO OCCUR IN THE VICINITY OF THE WARM FRONT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO MOVE EAST ACROSS THE
MIDWEST ON FRIDAY...AS A COLD FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THE LOW MOVES
EAST ACROSS THE MID STATE. INCREASING MOISTURE AND SOME INSTABILITY
MAY BRING A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER TO MAINLY THE SOUTHERN PART
OF THE MID STATE ON FRIDAY.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
ACTIVATION OF SPOTTERS AND EMERGENCY MANAGERS MAY BE NEEDED LATER
THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...AND POSSIBLY AGAIN ON FRIDAY.
