THROUGH 4 PM CDT...AREAS OF SHOWERS AND STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL
CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND OVERSPREAD MUCH OF THE WESTERN HALF OF MIDDLE
TENNESSEE. THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE NORTHEAST AT 15 TO
20 MPH. SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS BE STRONG AND MAY PRODUCE STRONG
GUSTY WINDS...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...VERY HEAVY RAIN AND HAIL.
RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL AVERAGE FROM ONE QUARTER TO THREE QUARTERS OF
AN INCH PER HOUR. HOWEVER...LOCALIZED AMOUNTS FROM ONE INCH TO IN
EXCESS OF TWO INCHES PER HOUR...ARE POSSIBLE WHICH MAY CAUSE URBAN
AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING AS WELL AS SIGNIFICANT PONDING OF WATER ON
ROADWAYS.

ELSEWHERE ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND MOVE MAINLY NORTHEAST AT
10 TO 15 MPH. RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL GENERALLY AVERAGE FROM ONE
QUARTER OF AN INCH TO ONE HALF INCH PER HOUR FOR MOST AREAS.
HOWEVER...AMOUNTS FROM THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH TO ONE AND A HALF
INCHES PER HOUR...ARE POSSIBLE WITH HEAVIER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
WHICH MAY CAUSE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING AND SIGNIFICANT
PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS.
