THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WATCH
FOR FLASH FLOODING THIS AFTERNOON. THE WATCH INCLUDES THE
FOLLOWING COUNTIES...

IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...
WAYNE...LAWRENCE AND GILES COUNTIES.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS FAR
SOUTHWESTERN PORTIONS OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE TODAY. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
OF UP TO TWO INCHES IS POSSIBLE. THE WATCH AREA INCLUDES
WAYNE...LAWRENCE AND GILES COUNTIES. FLOODING IN LOW LYING AND POORLY
DRAINED AREAS IS EXPECTED...AS WELL AS SOME CREEKS AND STREAMS.

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR FLOODING. CHECK
YOUR PREPAREDNESS REQUIREMENTS...KEEP INFORMED...AND BE READY FOR
ACTION IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED OR IF A FLOOD WARNING IS ISSUED.
MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. IF YOU ENCOUNTER WATER
COVERING A ROAD...TURN AROUND DON'T DROWN!
