BANDS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE REMNANTS OF
KATRINA WILL MOVE ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE THROUGH THE MORNING. THE
HEAVIEST RAINFALL THROUGH 900 AM WILL OCCUR NORTH OF INTERSTATE 40.
RAINFALL RATES OF ONE QUARTER TO ONE HALF INCH WILL BE COMMON.
OCCASIONAL WIND GUSTS OVER 40 MPH COULD PRODUCE TREE DAMAGE AND POWER
OUTAGES. THE ACTIVITY WILL DIMINISH INTO THE AFTERNOON AS THE CENTER
OF KATRINA MOVES INTO KENTUCKY.
