NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NASHVILLE TN
502 PM CDT WED AUG 17 2005

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED AN URBAN AND
SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 PM CDT WEDNESDAY
EVENING FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES
IN TENNESSEE
     WILLIAMSON...DAVIDSON AND WESTERN WILSON

AT 500 PM CDT WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY
RAIN OVER WILLIAMSON...DAVIDSON AND THE WESTERN PART OF WILSON
COUNTIES. RAINFALL RATE MAY REACH 1.5 INCHES PER HOUR IN THESE
THUNDERSTORMS DURING THE EVENING RUSH HOUR. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE
MOVING TO THE EAST AT ABOUT 10 MPH. EXPECT SIGNIFICANT PONDING OF
WATER ON ROADWAYS...SO MOTORISTS SHOULD SLOW DOWN TO AVOID
HYDROPLANING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
