THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT...
LIGHT SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE DEVELOPING ON THE
NOSE OF THE LOW LEVEL JET...IN AN AREA OF STRONG LOW LEVEL WARMING
AND SURFACE CONVERGENCE. THE SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN NUMBER DURING THE EVENING...BECOMING
NUMEROUS...ACROSS THE NORTHERN AREAS OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE...WITH THE
HEAVIEST CONCENTRATION NEAR THE KENTUCKY BORDER.

IN ADDITION...A WARM FRONT IS EXPECTED TO PULL NORTHWARD INTO
MIDDLE TENNESSEE BY AROUND MIDNIGHT. THE WARM FRONT WILL ENHANCE
THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE NORTHERN THIRD OF MIDDLE
TENNESSEE...WHILE THE SOUTHERN AREAS REMAIN IN THE WARM SECTOR...AND
MAY ONLY RECEIVE ISOLATED TO SCATTERED CONVECTION.

CONVECTION OVERNIGHT IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN
BELOW SEVERE LIMITS...HOWEVER SMALL HAIL IS POSSIBLE IN ISOLATED
STORMS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...
A DEEP LOW PRESSURE CENTER WILL MOVE ACROSS THE OHIO VALLEY FRIDAY
NIGHT, DRAGGING A STRONG COLD FRONT ACROSS THE MID STATE DURING THE
LATE EVENING AND EARLY MORNING. IT APPEARS THAT SEVERAL ATMOSPHERIC
INGREDIENTS WILL COME TOGETHER TO CREATE THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE
STORM DEVELOPMENT ALONG OR JUST AHEAD OF THE SURFACE FRONT. IN
ADDITION TO LOW LEVEL SATURATION AND DEEP INSTABILITY, DRY AIR IN THE
MID LEVELS WILL INCREASE THE SEVERE STORM POTENTIAL, AND STRONG WIND
SHEAR JUST ABOVE THE SURFACE WILL ENHANCE SUPERCELL DEVELOPMENT.

AS A RESULT, THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS PLACED ALL OF MIDDLE
TENNESSEE UNDER A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER, WITH A MODERATE
RISK OVER WEST TENNESSEE AND THE WESTERN FRINGES OF MIDDLE
TENNESSEE FOR FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
SPOTTERS AND EMERGENCY MANAGERS MAY BE NEEDED FRIDAY NIGHT. PLEASE
STAY TUNED TO SUBSEQUENT FORECASTS AND HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOKS.
