THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  DAVIDSON COUNTY IN TENNESSEE
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF NASHVILLE

* UNTIL 945 PM CDT

* AT 731 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  AN AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUING OVER CENTRAL AND EASTERN
  PARTS OF DAVIDSON COUNTY. THE SHOWERS AND STORMS WITH THE HEAVIEST
  RAIN WERE LOCATED IN THE NASHVILLE METRO AREA...AS WELL AS NEAR BELLE
  MEADE...OAK HILL...LAKEWOOD AND OLD HICKORY. RAINFALL RATES OVER
  DAVIDSON COUNTY ARE ESTIMATED AT AROUND AN INCH AN HOUR...AND RAIN HAS
  BEEN FALLING AT THIS RATE FOR THE LAST TWO AND A HALF HOURS. RUN OFF
  FROM THESE SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL PRODUCE THE LIKELIHOOD OF FLASH
  FLOODING THROUGH 945 PM TONIGHT. THE SHOWERS AND STORMS WERE MOVING
  NORTH AT 10 TO 15 MPH.

* THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL WILL REMAIN OVER CENTRAL AND EASTERN
  PARTS OF DAVIDSON COUNTY THROUGH 945 PM.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE
UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
