...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS UPDATED THE RIVER FLOOD WARNING
FOR THE HARPETH RIVER...


AFFECTING THESE COUNTIES IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE: CHEATHAM...DAVIDSON...WILLIAMSON.

HARPETH RIVER NEAR KINGSTON SPRINGS...
*   FLOOD STAGE:         15.0 FEET.
*   LATEST STAGE:        20 FEET AND RISING AT 1030 AM.
*   RIVER FORECAST:      FORECAST TO RISE AND CREST NEAR 21 FEET THIS AFTERNOON
*   FLOOD CATEGORY:      THESE LEVELS WILL PRODUCE MODERATE FLOODING.

AT THESE LEVELS...FLOOD WATERS WILL OVERFLOW THE LEFT BANK OF THE RIVER AND
APPROACH PINNACLE HILL ROAD, AND EAST KINGSTON SPRINGS ROAD. SEVERAL SECONDARY
ROADS NEAR THE RIVER BECOME IMPASSIBLE. THIS CREST COMPARES TO A PREVIOUS CREST
OF 21.3 FEET WHICH OCCURRED FEBRUARY 7, 2004.

HARPETH RIVER AT FRANKLIN...
*   FLOOD STAGE:         21.0 FEET.
*   LATEST STAGE:        19.4 FEET AND RISING AT 1030 AM.
*   RIVER FORECAST:      FORECAST TO RISE AND CREST NEAR 21 FEET THIS AFTERNOON.
*   FLOOD CATEGORY:      THESE LEVELS WILL PRODUCE MINOR FLOODING.

AT THESE LEVELS...FLOOD WATERS REACH LOW LYING AREAS ALONG THE BANKS, INCLUDING
THE THE CITY PARK.

IF POSSIBLE...AVOID THE RIVER. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS AND
REMEMBER...NEVER DRIVE THROUGH WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH. TURN AROUND...DON'T
DROWN.
