...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS UPDATED THE FLOOD WARNINGS
FOR THE HARPETH RIVER...

AFFECTING THESE COUNTIES IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE: CHEATHAM...DAVIDSON...WILLIAMSON.

HARPETH RIVER NEAR KINGSTON SPRINGS...
*   FLOOD STAGE:         15.0 FEET.
*   LATEST STAGE:        17.0 FEET AND RISING AT 6 AM.
*   RIVER FORECAST:      FORECAST TO RISE TO NEAR 21 FT THIS AFTERNOON THEN
                         FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE TOMORROW MORNING.
*   FLOOD CATEGORY:      THESE LEVELS WILL PRODUCE MODERATE FLOODING.

AT THESE LEVELS...THE RIVER OVERFLOWS THE LEFT BANK AND FLOODS BOTTOMLAND ALONG
THE RIVER. SEVERAL SECONDARY ROADS NEAR THE RIVER ARE CUT OFF. MOSTLY
AGRICULTURAL BOTTOMLAND IS AFFECTED.

HARPETH RIVER AT FRANKLIN...
*   FLOOD STAGE:         21.0 FEET.
*   LATEST STAGE:        18.8 FEET AND RISING AT 6 AM TUESDAY.
*   RIVER FORECAST:      EXPECTED TO RISE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE THIS MORNING
                         THEN CREST NEAR 23 FEET THIS AFTERNOON.
*   FLOOD CATEGORY:      THESE LEVELS WILL PRODUCE MINOR FLOODING.

AT THESE LEVELS...FLOOD WATERS REACH LOW LYING AREAS ALONG THE BANKS, INCLUDING THE CITY PARK.
WATER WILL ALSO REACH HIGHWAY 431, LEWISBURG PIKE, IN FRANKLIN.

IF POSSIBLE...AVOID AREAS NEAR THE HARPETH RIVER. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS AND
REMEMBER...NEVER DRIVE THROUGH WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH. TURN AROUND...DON'T DROWN.
