THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WATCH FOR THE
FOLLOWING MIDDLE TENNESSEE COUNTIES...

BEDFORD...BENTON...CANNON...CLAY...COFFEE...CHEATHAM...DAVIDSON...
DEKALB...DICKSON...GILES...HICKMAN...HOUSTON...HUMPHREYS...JACKSON...
LAWRENCE...LEWIS...MACON...MARSHALL...MAURY...MONTGOMERY...PERRY...
WILLIAMSON...RUTHERFORD...SMITH...TROUSDALE...ROBERTSON...SUMNER...
STEWART...WAYNE...AND WILSON.

THE WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM 600 PM CST TUESDAY EVENING UNTIL 600 PM
CST WEDNESDAY EVENING.

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO MIDDLE TENNESSEE TODAY...BRINGING SHOWERS
TO THE REGION. NO WIDESPREAD FLOODING PROBLEMS ARE EXPECTED TODAY.
HOWEVER...SURFACE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO FORM IN WESTERN
GULF TODAY...AND MOVE NORTHEAST TONIGHT. THE SYSTEM WILL BE STRONGER
AND LOOKS TO PUSH A WARM FRONT THROUGH ON WEDNESDAY. THERE IS HIGH
CONFIDENCE THAT RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL RANGE BETWEEN TWO AND FOUR
INCHES UNTIL 600 PM CST WEDNESDAY...WITH THE BULK OF PRECIPITATION
OCCURRING ON WEDNESDAY.

STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO AND OTHER LOCAL MEDIA FOR FURTHER
DETAILS OR UPDATES.

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR FLOODING OF
