AFFECTING THESE COUNTIES IN ALABAMA: LIMESTONE AND IN TENNESSEE: GILES.

ELK RIVER NEAR PROSPECT...
*   FLOOD STAGE:         26.0 FEET.
*   LATEST STAGE:        20.3 FEET AND RISING AT 5 AM SATURDAY.
*   RIVER FORECAST:      FORECAST TO CREST NEAR 27.0 FT THIS EVENING THEN
FORECAST TO FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE OF 26.0 FT EARLY TOMORROW  22.0 FT TOMORROW
AFTERNOON  THEN FORECAST TO RECEDE TO NEAR 15.0 FT  WEDNESDAY EVENING.
*   FLOOD CATEGORY:      THESE LEVELS WILL PRODUCE MINOR FLOODING.


AT THESE LEVELS...FLOOD WATERS APPROACH COUNTY ROAD 49 (VETO ROAD) AND BETHAL
PROSPECT ROAD...BOTH JUST SOUTH OF PROSPECT.. THIS CREST COMPARES TO A PREVIOUS
CREST OF 28.1 FEET WHICH OCCURRED MAY 7 2003.


PERSONS LIVING ALONG THE RIVER AND THOSE WITH RIVER INTERESTS SHOULD CONTINUE TO
MONITOR WATER LEVELS. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
