.NOW...
THROUGH 300 PM...YOU CAN EXPECT SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP OVER MIDDLE TENNESSEE. SOME OF THE
FIRST AREAS TO SEE RAIN DEVELOPMENT WILL LIKELY BE OVER WESTERN
MIDDLE TENNESSEE...AROUND CLARKSVILLE...LAND BETWEEN THE LAKES...
WAVERLY...LAWRENCEBURG AND WAYNESBORO...AS WELL AS ALONG THE
CUMBERLAND PLATEAU. HOWEVER...OTHER AREAS WILL ALSO SEE SHOWER AND
THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT AS THE AFTERNOON WEARS ON.

THE STRONGER SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL PRODUCE BRIEF DOWNPOURS OF
RAIN...WHICH MAY CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN LOW LYING AREAS. BOATERS
SHOULD BE PREPARED TO TAKE QUICK ACTION IF THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOP.
REMEMBER...A BOAT ON THE OPEN WATER IS A PRIME TARGET FOR A LIGHTNING
STRIKE...EVEN WHEN THE STORM IS STILL SEVERAL MILES AWAY. BOATERS AND
SWIMMERS SHOULD MOVE TO SHORE...AND SEEK SHELTER...AT THE FIRST SIGN
OF THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT.
