...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A RIVER FLOOD WARNING
FOR PORTIONS OF THE HARPETH RIVER...

AFFECTING THESE COUNTIES IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE: CHEATHAM.

HARPETH RIVER NEAR KINGSTON SPRINGS...
*   FLOOD STAGE:         15.0 FEET.
*   LATEST STAGE:        13.3 FEET AND RISING AT 5 AM THURSDAY.
*   RIVER FORECAST:      FORECAST TO RISE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE LATER THIS
                         MORNING THEN CREST NEAR 17.5 FEET THIS EVENING.
*   FLOOD CATEGORY:      THESE LEVELS WILL PRODUCE MINOR FLOODING.

AT THESE LEVELS...BOTTOMLAND ALONG THE HARPETH RIVER WILL BE FLOODED. SEVERAL
RIVER ACCESS ROAD WILL BE IMPASSABLE. THIS CREST COMPARES TO A PREVIOUS CREST
OF 17.8 FEET WHICH OCCURRED NOV 30 2004.

IF POSSIBLE...AVOID AREAS NEAR THE HARPETH RIVER. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO
ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS AND REMEMBER...NEVER DRIVE THROUGH WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH.
TURN AROUND...DON'T DROWN.
