.A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE REGION
AS A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM APPROACHES FROM THE SOUTHWEST. THESE
FEATURES WILL COMBINE TO PRODUCE WIDESPREAD PRECIPITATION WITH
FALLING TEMPERATURES. READINGS WILL BE COLD ENOUGH FOR A MIXTURE OF
WINTRY PRECIPITATION TO CONTINUE OVER NORTHWEST MIDDLE TENNESSEE
EARLY THIS EVENING...WHICH WILL CHANGE TO ALL SNOW BY LATE EVENING.
RAIN WILL FALL ACROSS THE REST OF THE MID STATE EARLY IN THE
EVENING...THEN COLDER AIR WILL SWEEP IN...CHANGING THE PRECIPITATION
TO A WINTRY MIX...AND THEN TO ALL SNOW. ACCUMULATIONS OF ICE AND SNOW
ARE EXPECTED ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE...WITH THE HEAVIEST AMOUNTS OVER
THE NORTHWEST COUNTIES. THE FORECAST CALLS FOR 1 TO 2 INCHES OF
ACCUMULATION FOR MOST OF MID TENNESSEE...WITH 2 TO 4 INCHES OVER THE
NORTHWEST COUNTIES. THE PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO QUICKLY MOVE OUT
OF THE AREA BY THURSDAY MORNING. VERY COLD AND BLUSTERY CONDITIONS
WILL FOLLOW THIS WEATHER EVENT.
