...A RIVER FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF THE ELK RIVER...


AFFECTING THESE COUNTIES IN ALABAMA: LIMESTONE AND IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE: GILES.

ELK RIVER NEAR PROSPECT...
*   FLOOD STAGE:         26.0 FEET.
*   LATEST STAGE:        24.5 FEET AND RISING AT 4 AM WEDNESDAY.
*   RIVER FORECAST:      EXPECTED TO RISE AND CREST NEAR THE FLOOD STAGE OF
26.0 FT THIS EVENING THEN FORECAST TO RECEDE SLOWLY TO 20 FT EARLY THURSDAY
MORNING.
*   FLOOD CATEGORY:      THESE LEVELS WILL PRODUCE MINOR FLOODING.

AT THESE LEVELS...FLOOD WATERS APPROACH THE NEW BOAT DOCK AND RIVER BOTTOMLAND
NEAR PROSPECT.

PERSONS LIVING ALONG THE RIVER AND THOSE WITH RIVER INTERESTS SHOULD CONTINUE
TO MONITOR WATER LEVELS. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
